Cameo Creations Challenge - Mother's Day

Hello lovely ladies, as promised, today I will be showing you my Mother's Day project for the Cameo Creations Challenge. I decided to do a stair step fold for my card using my cameo. Also, the borders, doily and matting circles were done with my cameo. I made a quick pnc for the sentiment because I didn't find anything in Spanish at the store and this card is going all the way to Peru to my Mom.

For this challenge we had to make a Mother's Day card using ribbon.  Here is mt project:

Side view:

I have seen cards embellished with seam binding and I love the look! I wanted to give it a try and make my own and after looking for snug hug all over town without luck, I finally gave up and ordered online and paid the dreaded shipping fees, ha! Dying my seam binding was so easy! I could have my 6 year old do it for me too. All I did was spray some Glimmer Mist on my slightly damp seam binding, let it dry completely and use. I tried also dyeing my ribbon with cat's eye stamp, I did not like the finished look. It is not shiny like the glimmer mist and since I still have lots of it, that's what I will be using from now on.

Take a loot to my materials:

And this is what they look like after drying. See the difference between the glimmer mist and the ink?

That's all I have for today, I hope you can play with us. You have two weeks to enter the Cameo Creations Challenge, remember that this time we have to  make a Mother's Day Card using ribbon, the prize is a $15 gift card to Scraptastical Kreations. So easy!

Oh, also have you checked Kelleigh's blog hop? Stop by to leave some blog love to the creative team ladies and you will be entered to win a $10 gift card for Kelleigh's store. Take a look at all of her amazing templates! And maybe try using the new Seed Packet card template. It is so easy and it comes it all formats to use with your cutting machine or by hand. Super cool!

Have a lovely week!
