Trick or treat

Looks like somebody was ready for some trick or treating huh?

Muahahahaaaa!! I used one of my daughters' ugly dolls for the arms and legs, some fake blood (recipe courtesy of Jin from Under a Cherry Tree and I added the dawn suggested by one of her readers) and of course I had to incorporate my cameo on this little "craft", the pumpkin was made using last week's freebie from Pretty Paper Graphic's and a cupcake box from the silhouette store. I just cut the handles before adding the pumpkin from from PPG.

It was funny I went dressed like this to a Halloween party and one of my friend's friend was dressed as a doctor, we all had a good laugh with our matching costumes!!!

I hope you liked it too.

Halloween Treats - Cameo Creations Challenge

Hello my my friends!!

I am back with something so cute! This week we have a new Cameo Creations challenge: Halloween Treats Holders! How fun! And I wanted to treat you with one of my very, very few favorite candies: KIT KATS!

I used the Vintage Suitcase by Lori Whitlock and it was so easy to create. I had been intimidated by it for so long but today I wanted to create something Halloween-ish and this is what I came up with.

Cutting Fabric with my Cameo

Hello my dear followers and visitors!!

Today, I wanted to  make a quick entry and show you what I have been up to this week. I am on voluntary bed rest again and to not go nuts while laying in bed, I started making some hair clips made out of fabric. I first started cutting my own squares by hand and made a couple Kanzashi style flowers that came out looking beautifully! (here are some pictures with the instructions)

It all started with some fabric, first remnants from the clearance bin at Joann. Later I learned that buying quilting squares are better for my cameo :D because I don't have to resize or cut much. Here are some of the fabric I picked (that I haven't used)

3D Cameo Creations Challenge.

Welcome crafty friends to a new Cameo Creations Challenge! Today, I will be your host. Thank you Monica for the great opportunity to be part of your awesome Design Team.

I got to choose the theme for this challenge. I wanted to make something in 3D and that includes things with dimension and my favorite are boxes! You know I love Kelleigh Ratzlaff's templates and I chose two of her files to work with. the first one is a Soap box.

The paper for the box and the rosette are patterns from the Silhouette store and this cute witch is from the Monster Mash Cutting file by Pretty Paper Graphics. I chose to do a print and cut instead of SVG piecing because the witch was too small and I didn't want to deal with the tiny pieces.

I haven't done this in a long, long time but this morning I had a chance to play with my cameo and I created a Halloween card with this week's Mojo sketch.

Favor Bag and Hourglass Box

Today I took a break from my self imposed bed rest (boo!!) I have sciatica and the bigger this baby gets, the worse I feel the pain on my legs and lower back. I think I might have to start going back to the chiropractor again.

Now, onto crafty business :D

I made had the opportunity to work with two templates from Kelleigh Ratzlaff's store. The first one is seriously the cutest box EVER, you just have to have it in your library, it is seriously a MUST! This is my super duper favorite template of all times, including the files from the silhouette store. It is the Hourglass Box, look how cute it is! And so easy to put together, I might use this one for my baby shower favors.
