Halloween Treats - Cameo Creations Challenge

Hello my my friends!!

I am back with something so cute! This week we have a new Cameo Creations challenge: Halloween Treats Holders! How fun! And I wanted to treat you with one of my very, very few favorite candies: KIT KATS!

I used the Vintage Suitcase by Lori Whitlock and it was so easy to create. I had been intimidated by it for so long but today I wanted to create something Halloween-ish and this is what I came up with.

This is the top. I used the skull shape from the silhouette store and made an offset to create a more detailed effect on it.

The buckle and the strap were done using glitter paper, this is the ONLY kind of glitter paper I found that my cameo will cut like butter without chipping the blade. It is by Best Creation, Inc. You can find more details on the paper on this post (except that the item # is GCS014 BLACK) This time, my cut settings were done using the Glitter Cardstock option in the cut menu and I did use the glitter side up, cool uh?

The handle is some cable ribbon I got last Christmas at Michael's, I was so long waiting for a project I could use this rope on. So cool!!! And of course, I had to add some bling to the buckle!

And ta-da! This is what I put inside, two yummy Kit Kats. We are not chocolate, or sweets lovers for that matter, so these chocolates are the only ones I had in my car from when I confiscated them from my daughter's goodie bags lol. I love them, but see how I haven't eaten them? Candy in this house goes bad before we get our hands on it.

The filling is some "fake snow" from walmart and I had that in my crafty stash. The Boo! sentiment is also from the Silhouette store.

The paper I used is part of the Haunted Manor set from Doodlebug Designs. So cute! The edges of the suitcase are just plain Recollections black cardstock.

Here is the prize for the winner of this challenge:

Thank you Monica for this cute prize! So on time for Halloween too!

Now, you know what to do. Go post a direct link to a CURRENT project done with your silhouette machine, you can also become a Facebook Fan for a chance to win other cool prizes. We are trying to get to 250 fans so we can give away a goodie set I put together last challenge. Come on over and like our Facebook page!

Well, I hope to see more wonderful projects for this challenge. And I wish you all luck! I will be back in a couple of days to show you what I have done for my baby shower. I can't wait to show you the cuteness!!!

Have a wonderful week!
