I keep telling you that I am going to show you what I have been making for my baby shower, well today I will give you a little preview. I want to take pictures of the table setting with everything I have made once the day of the party is on. Hopefully by Tuesday of next week.
Kelleigh has updated one of her templates that is so cute! The Canister Box. Inside of it, I will put some little prizes for the people that win in the baby shower games, fun! This box is perfect to fit some cookie cutters I bought at Joann's. Wait to see the top!
This is what it looks like from the top, so pretty!
And since I knew I was going to put something heavier than just candies, I edited the cutting lines of the bottom part and made a hexagon from COVERSTOCK!!! Yes, my cameo cut the coverstock like butter! Just make sure you have a super, super sticky mat because the paper is so thick it will move and mess up your cut. I used a coversstock that holds construction paper in place (comes in the middle for support) it is a little bit thicker than cereal box packaging.
And this is what I got:
The paper I used is by Jillibean Soup (Gray Salt and Yellow Salt) Archiver's only had a few of each color which was a bummer, but I did my best to utilize every bot of the paper, do you see the white line on one of the boxes? That's way past the edge but I knew I could tuck most of it with the bottom of my canister. Once again, I used both sides of each color of cardstock. Thrifty.
That's all for now, I got to go shopping for the last minute decorations and supplies. I am not sure if I should make a diaper cake for us too since we will cloth diaper again. What do you think? I hope I have enough time to finish everything and not die in the intent lol. My back and legs have been hurting really bad lately but I am on the last home stretch before baby is born.
Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to get your Canister Box template from Kelleigh's store, and it is on SALE!
P.S. Here is the link to the assembly instructions, the last part of the folds can get a bit tricky.
