Stationery Set

My friend Cyndi asked me to make some thank you cards for her sister, when I was finished I knew my cards were missing something and then I remembered I bought this Stationery box from the Silhouette Store and I decided to make one using the colors Cyndi's sister likes:

Christmas Cards

Every year I like to send cards to our friends and family. We don't have many relatives (alive) in the States and with shipping costs it has been harder to mail a simple letter or card to my family in Peru. This year I decided to just downgrade and send a handful of truly handmade cards to the people I know will cherish and save them. The rest are just getting a digital picture of my kids ha!

Happy Birthday! - Cameo Creations Challenge

It's Cameo Creation's time and we have a new challenge for you: HAPPY BIRTHDAY! My lovely daughter's birthday is on the 16th and this was such a great opportunity to continue with our tradition. I always make a card for my daughter but this time I asked her to color the main image on my card and here it is...shhh, she doesn't know this is her card :)

Double sides Hand Towels (replace your paper towels!)

As I have mentioned it before I have taken a new hobby, sewing! My very first project was this small wristlet wallet.

The zipper is all jacked up! LOL but I still love it, it is big enough to put my ID and credit cards and phone so it works for me. You can find the tutorial (and many more) on the Crafty Gemini's blog.

Avery T-shirt Transfer Material.

My friend Gina makes some super cute print and cut designs for her sons' shirts and she inspired me to make some for my kids too. She uses Transfermations brand but I didn't find it at Walmart so I went ahead and grabbed what was in stock, Avery Iron on T-Shirt Transfer Paper.

This regular Hanes brand T-shirt was decorated with Avery Transfer and I love the quality, the brightness is excellent and the paper is so easy to apply too. I bought the paper for dark fabrics. I believe is cheaper at Walmart too.

If you want an option to HTV (vinyl), this could be right for you! All you have to do is grab your image from the web, trace it with the SIL studio, print on your transfer paper and cut with your cameo. The entire project took me less than 30 minutes. I think finding the right image was the toughest part of all.

Oh, follow the application instructions on the box and use the tissue paper that comes with it too. This will ensure you don't over heat your paper.

Thanks for stopping by again!

Happy Fall Ya'll!!! Cameo Creations Challenge

November is here and Thanksgiving is just around the corner! It is my favorite American holiday and I love to celebrate it.

Since my mother-in-law's passing three years ago, we decided to host Thanksgiving for our friends, the ones we love most and are part of our adopted family. Last year I was pregnant and we went low key but this year we are ready to party. We will have 15 adults and 5 children, I love it!

Halloween Crafts and Treats

Sorry for not updating my blog more often but our lives are crazy busy now that we have two girls in school and one very busy crawling baby, who also happens to be mama's boy and only wants to be hanging from me like a monkey. Our baby Ergo and sling carrier are my best friends right now ;p

The girls asked me to make cupcakes, I am not the best baker on the block but I make decent deserts from time to time. I followed an easy recipe from cooks.com and made a batch for them to decorate.

A Haunting We Will Go! - Cameo Creations Challenge

Cameo Creations time is here! First, I have to apologize for abandoning my blog for so long :(

A house with three children is a lot of work and my mojo was poof, GONE! I tried to create paper things and nothing was coming out cute or decent enough to show you but today was different, I was so happy to get this project together because it helped me get creative again.

Back to School - Pencil Boxes

Kelleigh Ratzlaff has a new release!! Woo-hoo!! There are two pencil boxes that are cute! For us, school has been back in session for almost a month now but I know other states are about to start soon. These boxes are perfect for a back to school gift or anything else you might like. I think pixie sticks (sugar candy) would be a great idea to use the flat one as a goodie box. The other box can also be used for any occasion.

Congratulations Cards - Digital Stamping

One of my favorite stamp designers is Alyssa from My Thoughts Exactly (MTE) and even though she doesn't make clear stamps anymore, she generously decided to give some away. It is a freebie on her blog, so head over there, follow her blog and her Facebook to be in the know. She has awesome stuff every day and every Friday she offers a freebie.

Wanna Sketch?

I came across Dahlhouse Designs' blog and they are hosting a sketch challenge. I haven't done one of those in forever! And since the house if quiet (kids in school, baby sleeping, husband gone) I decided to play before getting with my busy day.

3D Shoe - Elegant Black (Added a new one)

I love the 3D shoe file so much that I decided to make a new one. Some people said the red shoe looked so real, like made out of velvet fabric. Yesterday was my "day off" from the kids and I went to the craft stores just to check what was new. I found this 12x12 velvet fabric with paper backing. It is for paper crafting only because it is not interface. Let me tell you the cameo cut it like butter! Super easy, super clean, super fast! Just use the fabric settings on your machine with a brand new blade (then keep that blade separate for future fabric cuts)

Minion Birthday Card - Action Wobbles

My SIL is in town visiting us and meeting baby, she came all the way from Germany and I wanted to make a special birthday card for her. I loooove this minion file from Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbons. It was a freebie but you can still get it from Lisa's store. Super cute huh?

IKEA Inspired Play Kitchen - One More Reason to LOVE my Cameo.

I have a cute project my husband and I made yesterday. I was waiting for the paint to dry before I took pictures and it is now ready. Our daughter (the second one) LOVES anything cooking related, it is in her blood what can I say? My MIL was an amazing cook, so are all of my SILs and one being a professional chef and on my side, we are really cook cooks too.

Maple Manor - SVGCuts.com

I saw this awesome (as usual) file from SVGCuts.com. Mary did an amazing job creating this lovely set called Maple Manor. I knew I had to get that file and as luck would have it, SVGCuts was having a super sale so I went ahead and got it!

It was a shocking surprise to see how many small pieces this file has (ha!) and I was SCARED, to say the least, to work with it. But Mary's instructional videos are so helpful tho, I watched this one over and over again to make sure I didn't miss any details.

Here is a picture of what it looked like when I finished cutting all the paper (I cut over 11 sheets of paper lol)

Flower Urn

SVGCuts Freebie - Clutch file.

I am back from a week long vacation in Florida!! We went to St. Augustine and Orlando, woohoo!! It was so much fun seeing my girls enjoy the beach and chill by the hotel's pool in Orlando. (no theme parks for us, we were visiting friends from LA)

While I was gone, we had no internet and the 3G connection in Florida was sluggish, like in all spots we went!! I was dying with without fast internet and I was so not going to pay 25 cents per minute at the hotel lol

Aaaaaanyways! I am back and since my husband took today off too (a day to chill before going back to work) I asked him if he could mind the children while I get my crafting fix. Here is what I made...

Picnic Baskets and Flower Pail

I am back with another cute project! I decided that I should start working with my SVGCuts files a bit more. I have only made just a handful of them and I own a bunch of kits (I feel like a hoardedl)

The Picnic in the Park set is so adorable! I had my eyes on the picnic basket since the kit was released...I know, I am late on the SVGcuts file trend but I like to work slowly with those files since they have so many pieces. This kit is by far my super favorite because the pieces are big and easy to put together.

Monica's SURPRISE Baby Shower Blog Hop

Welcome to Monica's Surprise Baby Shower Blog Hop!

Our friend Monica from Monica's Creative Madness (link to http://www.monicascreativemadness.com/) will soon be welcoming a new little boy to her family, so some of us got together to throw her this surprise hop.  We're all making scrapbook layouts that she can use to keep up with all of the memories of the first year with her little sweetie.

If you arrived here from Cameo Creations' blog, you are in the right place.  If you stumbled upon my post and would like to start from the beginning, head on over to the Cameo Creations Blog (link this to http://cameocreationschallenge.blogspot.com/).  Be sure to stop by each and every blog along the way for tons of baby album inspiration.  Plus, there's bound to be some awesome blog candy up for grabs!

These were my very first 8x8 layouts. You all know I don't scrapbook, but these pages were SO MUCH FUN to make! I just looked at them like giant greeting cards. They were easy to put together too.

My theme was At The Hospital and Welcome Home. Here are my creations:

Cameo Creations Challenge - Summer!

We are starting a new term DT and the first Cameo Creations challenge is to make a project with summer in mind. I have the perfect card for it!

I created this project using pnc entirely! It took me like three days to finish it up because the file was so heavy it kept crashing. I had to redesign and resize it until I finally got it right.

Sassy Purse Template.

Kelleigh has a new template in her store over at the Digichick and I was so lucky to get to play with it. It is called Sassy Purse and it is so adorable!

I used this template to make a gift card holder for my daughter's friend who was having a glamorous birthday party at a spa for little girls (YES! There is such thing and it is uh-mazing!) The sassy purse was the perfect match for the party theme.

Handmade Stationery Kit

Tomorrow is the last day of school (finally lol) and I know it will be hectic! So I went ahead and took the frozen sqeezes for the class and gave my daughter's teacher her gift.

Last time I sent a couple of sheets from a stationary set I was working on but for some reason (still to this day) when I work with LD graphics my studio can't handle it and freezes. I ended up only printing a couple of pages before the studio crashed. I couldn't open that file ever again :(

So I decided to make something similar but more like a kit. I looked on pinterest for ideas on how to present the gift, I didn't want to make a paper box because I wanted it to last.

School is OUT...Summer is IN!

Two more days until school in our district is OVER! I can't wait! No more waking up early, no more trying to figure out what to send for lunch or finding healthy snack options for my daughter.

One of her ultimate snacks nowadays are these squeezable applesauce packs we get from walmart but at a buck each, it gets expensive! Here comes pinterest to my rescue! I found this uh-mazing little gizmo that has made packing homemade, fresh squeezed fruit pouches a breeze! Introducing the: Infantino Squeeze Station!

Candy Dispenser

My daughter loves to work with the silhouette studio and likes picking shapes for me. We usually make a project at home where she picks from the design to the paper (with my suggestion of course lol) And yesterday she picked the Candy Dispenser by Lori Whitlock, such a cute file! It has tons of pieces but don't get scared, it is easy to put together. We chose True Friends digital paper for the panels and it was such a perfect pair!

That's all I have for today! School ends next Thursday and baby is finally getting into a settled routine which makes me so hopeful about my crafting time. Maybe we can squeeze more into our busy schedule and I hope you continue to visit me.

Have a happy crafty day!

Elmo Banner

I just wanted to post a super cute banner I made for my friend's son. It is his 1st birthday and the theme of the party is Elmo, so I just had to make a themed banner for him. It is my gift to the handsome little fella and I hope he likes it (not that a 1 year old cares lol)

Here it is!

The banner base is from the Silhouette store and it was a freebie OMG like many moons ago lol. The font is called  postino Std. and the image is from Google, I traced it in the silhouette and offset the image to 0.085 (my favorite number to create a sticker effect. Also, all the letters and images were glued with dimensional squares, I wanted to add a 3D effect to the banner.

The paper I used is AC cardstock and it is simple THE BEST to cut with your cameo, hands down the best!

Thanks for stopping by and have a happy crafty day :)

Happy Easter!

Welcome my crafty friends!

Sorry, I am late with my post but having a newborn is hectic! He's doing wonderfully but keeps me awake most of the night and I wish half of it was crafting!

For this Cameo Creations challenge I made my very first SVGCuts project! Well, one that I show to the public anyways, and I am so happy of how it came out looking! SVGCuts has really great files but they are a bit intimidating at first because there are so  many parts to form your projects but I took the plunge and I loved it! All the pieces came together beautifully!

Minnie Mouse Birthday Banner and T-Shirt

Hello, helloooo!!!

Today is my baby girl's 3rd birthday and the last as the baby of the house! So, I had to make something special for her <3. She asked me to make her a Minnie and Mickey Mouse themed "party" and since I am STILL pregnant and in the last home stretch, there no much energy left for a big party but we invited just a couple of her closest friends to come over for pizza and ice-cream.

Anyways, here is what I made, everything so simple but cute and I wanted to share with you.

Cutting Washi Paper With Cameo

There was a question on a Facebook Group I frequent and it was about the cut settings for the brand new washi paper. If you don't know what washi is, let me just tell you that it is a decorative tape from Japan made out of rice paper. It has a waxy texture on top and it usually comes in rolls. But now, WeRMemory Keepers came up with washi paper.

Split letter frame - Vinyl

It all started with me cleaning my craft shelf! There was a hot mess in there because my oldest daughter decided to cut some ribbon for her own project. I think it took me like two hours to put everything together and sorted by colors. Too bad I didn't get a chance to clean anything else.

While I was fixing the ribbon spools, I was finishing up a design I started before Christmas. I wanted to make split letters for my good friend and for my SIL. Well, last night I finished my friend's frame! This picture was taken with my cellphone and it does not do justice because it is gorgeous in person.
