St. Patrick's Day Challenge and Petal Box

Hello my dear friends! I am finally back!! And guess what? My baby was born! The last week of January was surreal for us, we had skin cancer, a car accident and an emergency c-section ALL in less than 5 days!

Luckily, DH is doing fine. The skin cancer was discovered early and the doctor was able to remove everything at once. The car accident started my contractions which led to an emergency c-section. Baby was born on January 26 and he is beautiful and perfect (I am the mom, so I am allowed to believe that lol)

I have been crafting a little, mostly print and cut stuff for my DD's school and since I have been "Crafting in the Night", pictures were not taken, boo!!

But now, I want to show you what I made for the current Cameo Creations Challenge. The theme is St. Patrick's Day - Bling it! We love bling, right? I wanted to make a shiny and sparkly banner and here it is! I am in love with it.

I used the LUCKY banner from the Silhouette store. My original idea was to make either on canvas or burlap. I am not good handling fabric so cutting either material was a total bust! I will try to use those medias when I have more patience and time to mess with them. For now, I am happy with my paper banner.

Everything was cut with my cameo. I used the glitter paper from Archiver's, retired Bazzil paper for the green shamrocks and recollections for the black pots of gold.

Also, this box was made using the same papers, some ribbon and Kelleigh Ratzlaff's newest Petal Box template. Go grab it because it is beautiful!

The prize for this challenge is a $10 gift certificate for Lettering Delights. Post your current project cut with a silhouette machine and use a St. Patrick's Day - Bling it! theme to be entered for the give away. More details in the Cameo Creations blog.

Have a wonderful week! I hope I can craft some more when my aunt comes to visit (help us) next month.

Happy crafting!

  5. Wow! You have really been through a lot. I had both of my kids (who are now 30 & 32) c-section, I do think they look beautiful when they are born! Their little heads are so round...

I am going to make a banner like yours for our annual St. Patrick's party, but I am going to have the letters spell out our last name "Real" instead of "Lucky" I love both of your projects. Keep well.

    Hugs,
    Chriss

    1. Thank you Christine! My baby came out looking beautiful and his head was round and perfect, no cone head lol. I had a rough time recovering from the c-section tho, I am still having trouble with back and neck pain from the car accident mixed in with the epidural I think.
